About the Author

My name is Amy Ashton and I am 24 years old. I am a Fanshawe College Graduate, as well as a Fanshawe College Student. When I was completing my Early Childhood Education Diploma, I studied children’s mental health as part of my studies, and it was during this time that I founded my interest in psychology and understanding the way people think and act. This as when I decided to take the next step in my career and continue my schooling by returning to college to complete my Social Services Diploma. I am now in the process of completing my Social Services Diploma, and have been studying the mental health of adults. I am very passionate about people as well as their well-being, whether it be physical or mental. I appreciate the saying “you cant be physically well unless you are mentally well”. I really resonate with this saying and believe it to be very true.
